Actions – Diaphoretic: Induces sweating to cleanse the body of toxins; Expectorant: Cleanses the lungs of phlegm build up, eases chronic bronchitis and emphysema, use in a compress for chest inflammation; Stimulant: Appetite stimulant for anorexia with it’s Bitter qualities, breaks up stagnation in the pelvic region with it’s warming qualities; Tonic: Tonifies the reproductive system, may be used in childbirth as a tonic or Anti-spasmodic; Carminative: Eases flatulence and aids digestion; Diuretic: Urinary anti-septic for treating cystitis; Nervine: Eases painful menstruation.
